The Muhanna Foundation has the pleasure to announce the 15th Regional
Security, Pension and Provident Funds Conference.
The
theme of the conference is:
"Pensions
in Crisis"
The
conference will be held in Paphos, Cyprus on the 3rd & the 4th
of March 2009 at the Amathus Hotel. Please note that an early registration
and a cocktail reception will be held on the 2nd.
The
theme of the conference is the current financial crisis and its
effect on the pension and provident funds and social Insurance organizations
in the region and globally. The conference will examine the immediate
but also the medium and long term effect on pensions in terms of
viability, sustainability and adequacy as well as design and investment.
A
wide range of internationally renowned speakers will present their
ideas and concerns from Europe, America and South East Asia. The
following organizations have been invited to appoint a speaker:
ILO, ISSA (International Social Security Association), IAA (International
Actuarial Association), The World Bank, and the IMF. In addition
regional pension or social insurance funds will be participating
with presentation on regional experience on current financial crisis.
